Empathy and Awareness

Aktualisiert: 30. Dez. 2021

How mindful do you walk through life? And what is Awareness anyway?

Today attentiveness is known by the buzzword mindfulness. It describes a mental state in which a person perceives himself and the environment without judging. Just BEING!

Originally developed from Buddhism, it is now incorporated into meditation as well as western medicine and psychology.

The positive effects on our daily life have been scientifically proven. This is true both physically and mentally. Sigmund Freud recognized its importance. Today we know that it helps our subjective well-being and that we can deal better with stressful situations (resilience). Success has even been achieved with chronic pain patients. Because empathy and compassion are trained, we also improve our interpersonal relationships. And because we take our ME time, we actively take care of our personal development and thus make ourselves effective.

And best of all; it just takes a little time and will. 😉

"Take a break and be here with yourself in the moment.”

Our brain performs a true masterpiece and controls our perception. A filter system is built in to ensure human survival. This selects information from the environment and processes it in milliseconds. We create our own reality. This leads to a certain attention blindness. Check your own perception and watch the video.

Can mindfulness be measured? Yes, it can. There are various scientific tests for measuring your mindfulness such as CHIME, MAAS, KIMS, TMS, CAMS-R, etc. I have researched for you and recommend the Freiburg questionnaire. Here is the link to it.
